I love the art! I didnt get very far as I had difficulty with the controls.
The pogo intensifies fall speed and continuing to hold the button after bouncing neuters the bounce height gained, meaning to get the max bounce height you have to release the button immediately, but I would often release too early and then get hit by the enemy/obstacle I was trying to bounce off, maybe a slight buffer window after releasing the input would make this feel better? im no programmer so idk. could also be a skill issue
I know this game had a short deadline so slight jank is to be expected, whats here is very impressive! Sorry if Im a little harsh!
I honestly agree! the pogo mechanci was a bit too unforgiving, i should have made a buffer of some sorts cuz timing it was very specific! i appreciate your kind feedback and enjoyment! tysm <3
hi hi, i'd wish i could have beaten this but the dash feature has this real bad bug where it doesn't let you use it twice ONLY when sliding down walls which pretty means a softlock because an obstacle the first level requires you to use it multiple times
i hope this game gets picked up in the future for it's own, more polished release separate from any game jam because it looks so cutie cutee art style and design wise
the dash is only meant to be used once in the air unless you touch the ground, a wall, spring, pogo off a gumdrop or spike, or if you perform a wave dash (the tech where you diagonally dash against the ground and then jump) which is taught in one of the screens
I really enjoyed this game. The art is really cute and the gameplay has a good mix of fun and challenge (despite it being a tad bit buggy). Huge props to the developers for making this in such a short time!
I am really excited to see what other fun games y'all cook up 🥳
